Mamitu Daska

Mamitu Daska (born 16 October 1983) is an Ethiopian long-distance runner who specializes in road races.

In 2008 she won the Route du Vin. In 2009, she came at the World Cross Country Championships in Amman to twelfth place and won with the Ethiopian team silver. After that, she was second in the Freihofer 's Run for Women, won the race Bolder Boulder and the Falmouth Road Race and was second in August at the New York City Half Marathon, only beaten by Paula Radcliffe.

Her debut on the 42,195 - km - distance she had a month later at the Berlin Marathon, where she finished third, and end of the season, she finished fourth at the Delhi Half Marathon and won the Obudu Mountain Run.
