Mamitu Daska
Mamitu Daska (born 16 October 1983) is an Ethiopian long-distance runner who specializes in road races.
In 2008 she won the Route du Vin. In 2009, she came at the World Cross Country Championships in Amman to twelfth place and won with the Ethiopian team silver. After that, she was second in the Freihofer 's Run for Women, won the race Bolder Boulder and the Falmouth Road Race and was second in August at the New York City Half Marathon, only beaten by Paula Radcliffe.
Her debut on the 42,195 - km - distance she had a month later at the Berlin Marathon, where she finished third, and end of the season, she finished fourth at the Delhi Half Marathon and won the Obudu Mountain Run.

In 2011 she won the Houston Marathon and the Freihofer 's Run for Women, took the half marathon of the Pan-African Games in Mabuto the silver medal and set the Frankfurt Marathon a course record. In 2012 she finished ninth at the Dubai Marathon and defended her title at Freihofer 's Run for Women.
2013, it was Twelfth Boston Marathon. and won the New York Mini 10K.
Mamitu Daska is 1,65 m tall and married. Since 2006, she is managed by Elite Sports Management International.
