Mando (singer)
Mando (Greek Μαντώ; orig: Adamantia Stamatopouloua, Greek:. Αδαμαντία Σταματοπούλου; ) ( born April 13, 1963 in Piraeus ) is a Greek pop singer.
The daughter of a jazz pianist and a soprano came early with music in conjunction. She starred in musicals and sang in all sorts of bands of different genres. At age 18, she was discovered by the record company CBS. Her first singles were released in English, at the same time they had to spend several years in the United States where she received vocal training. In 1989 they released their debut album, then in Greek.
