Maria Curatolo

Maria Curatolo ( born October 12, 1963 in Turin ) is a former Italian long-distance runner.

In 1984 she won the Cesano - Boscone Marathon and 1985 in Roma - Ostia. The European Athletics Championships 1986 in Stuttgart, she was tenth in the 10,000 m. The following year, she came in the IAAF World Cup Marathon on the 22nd place, the Susavigliana won ( today's Turin Marathon ) and was second in the Venice Marathon.

In 1988, she was eighth in the marathon of the Olympic Games in Seoul and won the New Year's run Bolzano.

After a serious accident, she had to pause for two years. She finished second at the Turin Marathon in 1993 and 1994, she was second in the Stramilano and won silver at the European Championships Marathon in Helsinki.

1995 was followed by a victory at the Giro di Castelbuono and a fifth place at the Berlin Marathon. In a marathon, the Olympic Games in Atlanta in 1996, they did not reach the target.

National Champion was four times the 10,000 m (1985, 1987-1989), three times in the half marathon ( 1986, 1988, 1995 ) and twice in cross country (1987, 1988).
