Martin Birch

Martin Birch is a British rock and heavy metal producer and sound engineer, who became famous for his work with Deep Purple and Iron Maiden.

Birch produced further for musically cognate bands Deep Purple, such as Rainbow, Paice, Ashton & Lord, Whitesnake, Roger Glover, Jon Lord, but also Fleetwood Mac, Black Sabbath, Wayne County & the Electric Chairs and Blue Öyster Cult. On the album Mystery to Me by Fleetwood Mac (1973 ), he also played acoustic guitar.

The song Hard Lovin 'Man from the Deep Purple album Deep Purple in Rock is dedicated to him: "For Martin Birch - catalyst".

In 1992, after the production of Iron Maiden's Fear of the Dark, he stopped producing. Birch also worked at the music video " Holy Smoke " by Iron Maiden with.
