Matti Kuparinen

Matti Kuparinen ( born October 16, 1984 in Pori ) is a Finnish professional ice hockey player who is under contract with HIFK Helsinki of the SM - liiga in since July 2013.

Career

Matti Kuparinen began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the junior department of Ässät Pori, for the first team to 2011 he was active from 2003 in the SM- liiga, the top Finnish league. With Ässät Pori he achieved in the 2005/06 season, the playoff finals in the SM- liiga, failed in this, however, to HPK Hämeenlinna. From 2007 to 2011, the Center was team captain at Ässät.

For the 2011/12 season moved within the SM- liiga Kuparinen to KalPa Kuopio. There he also began the following season before he was committed in October 2012 from HK Avangard Omsk of the Kontinental Hockey League for two years. For Omsk, he completed 42 KHL games in which he scored only eight points scorer. Hence his contract was terminated in July 2013 ahead of time and then moved to HIFK Helsinki Kuparinen.

Internationally

For Finland took Kuparinen, 2012 at the Euro Hockey Tour in part.
