Mattia Destro

Mattia Destro ( born March 20, 1991, Ascoli Piceno ) is an Italian footballer who plays for AS Roma.

Career

In the club

Mattia Destro, son of former football player and trainer Flavio Destro, his football career began in his native town in Ascoli Calcio, where his father worked as a youth coach before he moved to Inter Milan in 2005. In Inter Destro ran in various youth teams and won some titles. He was also part of the team that the Torneo di Viareggio prestigious won in 2008. Destro himself was named the best young player of the tournament.

In Inter Destro was several times on the A- team, came across this but to no use. In July 2010, he was loaned with an option to purchase shares in the transfer of CFC Genoa. There he was employed for the first time in Serie A and in the Coppa Italia. On 12 September 2010 he scored in a league match against Chievo Verona his first goal for Genoa. Italy coach Cesare Prandelli praised Destro with the words: "He is a modern attackers. It can be found all over the place, never stops running and is also very goal threat. " Following this season Siena took advantage of an option that allowed the club to purchase half of the transfer rights to Destro. Then Genoa bought the transfer shares in Destro, who had been held by Siena, back and gave the striker end of July 2012 for 11.5 million euros and half of the transfer rights to the talent Giammario Piscitella and Valerio Verre for a year at the Roma. Destros first season with Roma was not for him, however, as desired. So it took until the eleventh match day, he marked his first goal. In the National Team

Destro ran on in his youth for various youth teams in Italy. His debut in the Italian U-21 team he was on 7 September 2010 against Wales. Already in his next game against Belarus, he could score his first goal for Italy U -21.
