The Mercury Park Lane was a fullsize model class ( upper middle class ) of the American automobile manufacturer Mercury, part of the Ford group. It was built in 1957-1960 and 1963-1968.

Model history

In the model years 1958 to 1960 Park Lane presented the over Monterey and Montclair shunting Mercury - top model dar. It gave him as a hardtop sedan and coupe and as a convertible to buy. Was powered by a seven liter V8 engine.

As part of the reorganization of the model program in 1961 eliminated the designation Park Lane, but was reintroduced in 1964. Until 1967, the series was once again the top model of the brand before about the Mercury Brougham (only 1967) and the Marquis were positioned. The series included again coupes, sedans and convertibles. A special feature was the Park Lane Breezeway four- door model with a modified C-pillar and rear window electrically retractable, which was offered from 1965 to 1967. On the engine side came exclusively V8 engines with 6.4 to 7.0 liters of displacement is used ( 253-431 SAE-PS/186-317 kW).

From model year 1969, the Park Lane was no longer manufactured, the new top model was now the Marquis.
