Miroslava Knapková

Miroslava " Mirka " Knapkova (born 19 September 1980 in Brno ) is a Czech rower.

Knapkova increase in 2001 for the first time at World Rowing championships, finishing in tenth place in the One. In 2002 she reached the Rowing World Cup twice second and once third place and won in the U23 World Championships. In 2003, she won a World Cup in Munich for the first time, at the 2003 World Championships she finished fourth. After three podium finishes in the World Cup in 2004 it at the 2004 Olympics as at the World Championships last year in fourth place.

2005 Knapkova won at the World Championships in Gifu, Japan with silver medal her first, before it only the White Russian Ekaterina Karsten came to the finish. Also at the 2006 World Championships in Eton, she received silver behind Karsten, 2007 in Munich Knapkova occupied the fourth place. In the 2008 Olympic Season Knapkova finished third in the World Cup three times second place in the One. 2009 Knapkova won the World Cups in Munich and Lucerne, at the World Championships in Poznan she finished behind Ekaterina Karsten and the Briton Katherine Grainger third place. In 2010 she missed after two second places in the World Cup at the World Championships in fourth place medal. 2011 was the most successful year so far in the career of Mirka Knapkova, according to a fifth and a third place at the World Cup they won in Bled their first world title, then followed in Plovdiv her second European title after 2008.

At the Olympic Games 2012 in London, she was able to confirm the benefits of the previous year and was Olympic champion in One. A year later, at the World Rowing Championships in Chungju, she finished in third place.
