History
Mötzing belonged to Rentamt Straubing and the district court Haidău of the Electorate of Bavaria. In today the municipality counted Schoenach (formerly Court Straubing ) had the Earl of being home to 1797 a closed Hofmark. - Schoenach Castle: a castle Schoenach is first mentioned in the 12th century, builders were the Lord of Schoenach that prevailed until the end of the 14th century there. Later owners were Paul Strand, the Strand Seibold, the royal boxes to 1726 it belonged to the Counts of Arco Emanuel. In 1764 it was bought by the Earl of being home.
