Mr. Mister was an American pop band that existed 1982-1990. They celebrated their biggest success with the album, released in the fall of 1985 Welcome to the Real World, on which the two hits Broken Wings and Kyrie were.

History

1978-1984: Beginnings

Richard Page worked as a studio musician ( for Quincy Jones and Others ), and composed for Michael Jackson, Donna Summer, Kenny Loggins, Al Jarreau and many others.

End of the 1970s he founded with his friend Steve George, also a very active studio musician in Phoenix (Arizona ), the band pages. In 1978, their first album, simply called Pages. A year later the album Future Street appeared with the single from the album I Do Believe in You (US- Charts Platz 84, December 15, 1979). This track was recorded a year later by the band America on the album Alibi ( Capitol Records ), with Richard Page was involved as a background singer.

The title also contained on Future Street Who's Right, Who 's Wrong released in 1979 on Kenny Loggins ' platinum album Keep the Fire. 1981 Pages published her third and final album, as the first under the same name.

From Pages Mr. Mister went forth with I Wear the Face released their first album on RCA Records in the spring of 1984. The single Hunters of the Night reached # 57 on the Billboard singles chart. The follow - extraction Talk the Talk, released as a radio remix on 12 ", could not place itself.

Since 1990: Current activities of the individual members

Steve Farris toured with Whitesnake and took to pieces with Tori Amos, the 4 Non Blondes and others; Mastelotto played for XTC, King Crimson, Mastica and others; Steve George was until 1997 the musical director for Kenny Loggins and toured with Jewel; John Lang later founded the band Djinn.

Mr. Mister may be considered as representative for the typical sound of the pop-rock of the 1980s. Her two most famous and successful songs are Broken Wings and Kyrie (1985).
