The MSC Poesia is a cruise ship in the MSC Crociere SA She is a sister ship to MSC Musica (2006), MSC Orchestra (2007) and MSC Magnifica (2010).

History

After the christening in Dover on 5th April 2008 by the Italian actress Sophia Loren, the boat took off on April 6, 2008 for the two-week maiden voyage to sea. 2008 and 2009, the eastern Mediterranean was the application of the MSC Poesia, the Caribbean was in December 2009 for the first time traveled. Since 2010, the MSC Poesia is traveling in the summer of areas in Northern Europe. Your travels went weekly from Kiel in the Baltic Sea or Norway. Between Winter 2012 and Spring 2013, the ship is expected to be the last time in the Caribbean the way - between winter 2013 and spring 2014, the MSC Poesia will likely be used in South America. Incidents

On 6 June 2008, the MSC Poesia came off Dubrovnik along with the Costa Classica and broke at wind speeds of 25 knots the anchor of the MSC Poesia. There were no injuries and the damage was minimal.

The MSC Poesia ran 7 January 2012 on a reef at Lucayan Beach on Grand Bahama. The ship had to be backed up by traffickers, not to be further pushed by the wind on the reef. During the evening flood the cruise ship with three tugs was pulled from only 4.5 m deep reef. The ship was not damaged, the passengers were brought ashore by tender boats. The incident occurred on the music cruise " Holy Ship".

The MSC Poesia pulled himself on June 15, 2013 at the Kiel Ostseekai going on, a heavy gust of wind pushed the stern of the ship in the port of Kiel. The bridge crew maneuvered the ship back without prejudice to the quay wall.

Equipment

The ship has, inter alia, four restaurants, a sushi bar, a 800 -square-foot casino, a theater with 1,200 seats and a nightclub.
