Mueang Krabi District
Amphoe Mueang Krabi ( Thai: อำเภอ เมือง กระบี่, pronunciation: ʔāmp ʰ ɤ̄ ː mɯ̄aŋ KRA bì ) is a district ( Amphoe ) of Krabi province in southern Thailand. The capital of the district is also called Krabi.
Location
Krabi is located on the west coast of Thailand to the Andaman Sea on a bay opposite the island of Phuket.
Geography
The neighboring Amphoe and territories are (from north clockwise): Ao Luek, Khao Phanom Nuea Khlong and. In the south and west of the district borders the bay of Phang Nga.

- Krabi: The small provincial capital is located at the same Krabi River. She's metropolis and financial center of the region.
Management
The Amphoe Mueang Krabi is divided into ten sub-districts ( tambon), which in turn have a total of 66 municipalities ( Muban ).
Krabi ( Thai: เทศบาล เมือง กระบี่ ) is also the name of a city ( Mueang thesaban ) in the district, it is in the Tambon Paknam and Krabi Yai.
In addition, there are eight " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
