Mühlheim am Inn

Mülheim am Inn is a town in Upper Austria in the district of Ried in the Innviertel with 660 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013). The municipality is located in the judicial district of Ried.

Geography

Mülheim am Inn is located at 343 m altitude in Innviertel. The expansion is 3.7 kilometers from north to south, from west to east 4.9 km. The total area is 10.9 km ². 15.7 % of the area is forested, 64.8 % of the area is used for agriculture.

Official description of the municipality coat of arms: Under golden head of the shield, is three blue, six-pointed star in blue, a silver boat mill with red mill wheel. The municipality colors are red, white and blue.

History

Since the establishment of the Duchy of Bavaria, the place was Bavarian until 1779 and came to the Peace of Teschen with the Innviertel (then ' Innbaiern ') to Austria. During the Napoleonic Wars shortly Bavarian, it belongs since 1814 finally to Upper Austria. After the annexation of Austria to the German Reich on 13 March 1938, the village belonged to the Upper Danube. After 1945 the restoration of Upper Austria.
