Muñoz, Nueva Ecija

Science City of Muñoz ( Tagalog: Lungsod ng Muñoz ) is a Philippine component city in the province of Nueva Ecija, in the Administrative Region III, Central Luzon. It has 75 462 inhabitants ( census May 1, 2010 ) living in 37 barangays. It is classified as a community of the third income class in the Philippines and as a partially urbanized.

Science City of Muñoz is located in the north of the province, on the southern slopes of the Caraballo Mountains in the northeast of the Central Luzon level. It is located 147 km north of Manila and is accessible via the Marhalika Highway. Your neighboring municipalities are Guimba in the West, Talugtug in the north, Lupao in the northeast, Talavera in the southeast, Santo Domingo in the south, San Jose City in the east.

The name was given Muñoz Science City, as five scientific institutes were settled by the government in the community. These are the Central Luzon State University connected, which operates a 6.58 km ² large area in the community. The University is considered to be an internationally renowned research institute in the fields of agriculture and forestry. It is in both research and education fields one of the three central universities in the Philippines, the other two being the Visayas State University ( CLSU ) at Leyte and the Central Mindanao University ( CMU) in Mindanao.
