Naples Airport (Italian: Aeroporto di Napoli Capodichino ) is an Italian airport in Naples. He is one of the most important airports in Southern Italy and is 7 km from the city center.

The airport is located in the city of Naples. He has connection to the motorway A56 tangent, through which all parts of the city are easily accessible, and the A1 motorway to Rome. History

The airport was built in 1910 on the former Champ de Mars from Capodichino as a military airfield. In 1943 the United States Army Air Forces took him as their base, and later the military part was used primarily by the U.S. Navy, the 6th Fleet in Naples had their base.
