Verona Airport (Italian: Aeroporto di Verona -Villafranca " Valerio Catullo " ) is an international Italian airport. He more than twelve kilometers south-west of Verona Villafranca di Verona. It is a military airfield, which is also open to civilian traffic. On the west of the airstrip nearby military section are no longer flying units. The civilian terminal is located in the north- east.

Transport links

The airport is adjacent southwest directly to one of the major motorway junctions in Italy. Here take the A22 motorway and extending in the east-west direction A4 each other. These two highways alongside cities such as Verona Trento, Vicenza, Mantua and Brescia, Lake Garda and the Southern Alps are within reach.

Military use

Verona -Villafranca is connected to the Northern Italy pipeline system.

Other airports

In the northwest of Verona lies the airfield Verona Boscomantico. There is a flying club and a club for skydivers.

The airport company Aeroporto di Verona / Aeroporti Sistema del Garda operates next to the Verona- Villafranca also a little further west airport Brescia - Montichiari, which is served by low-cost and charter airlines.
