Niamina Dankunku
Niamina Dankunku is one of 35 districts - the second highest level of administrative divisions - the West African nation of Gambia. It is one of ten districts in the Central River Region.
According to a calculation by 2013 there live about 5571 inhabitants, the result of the last published census of 2003 was 6,000.
The name is of Niamina - derived and the place Dankunku - a former small Mandinka empire.

According to a survey of 1993 ( former census ), the largest ethnic group of the Fula with a share of about six -tenths, followed by the Mandinka and the Wolof. The distribution in detail: 26.6 % Mandinka, Fula 56%, Wolof 12 %, Jola 0.3 %, 0.9% Serahule, 0.2% Serer, Aku 0.2 %, 0.4% Manjago, 0, 5% Bambara and 3% other ethnicities.
