Niederwambach
Niederwambach is a municipality in the district of Neuwied in the north of Rhineland- Palatinate. The community belongs to the municipality powder stream, which has its headquarters in the town of powder stream. Niederwambach is a nationally recognized tourist.

Geography
The place is a little off the main roads north of powder stream on the edge of the Rhine -Westerwald.
History
The parish Niederwambach was first mentioned in 1253. In the second half of the 12th century, the Romanesque St. Bartholomew 's Church was built ( tower still preserved). During the Reformation in 1556 was the introduction of Protestant worship. In 1831 the ship was too small church demolished and a late-classical church hall by the princely wiedischen building inspector Johann Heinrich Hartmann. In the 1970s there was a major renovation of the church. The Protestant church belongs to the parish Almersbach.
Today's church was re-formed on 7 June 1969 the dissolved municipalities Ascheid, Lahrbach and Niederwambach.

The local council in Niederwambach consists of eight council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 a proportional representation, and the honorary mayor as chairman.
The eight seats in the City Council are distributed among three groups of voters with a total of six seats, and on the left with two seats. In the previous election in 2004, the eight seats distributed to a total of five groups of voters.
