The coat of arms description reads: Split by a bent- tip, in a black church in front view, the tower with round arch open, split and open windows in the bell storey and pointed, bestekten with the betting Erhan tent roof; eight times forward diagonally split of gold and red, occupied by a achtspeichigen black gear; back to green a three-line golden ear, the stalk with two folded leaves.

Explanation: The golden- red oblique division is the herald image of the oldest coat of arms of the Counts of Wied from the 1218 and points out that the church belonged to the allodial possession of the Counts of Wied. The gear symbolizes the former, operated until the end of the 18th century, iron and copper mines and smelters in the parish Honnefeld. The ear symbolizes the cultivation of grain, the green of the wooded surroundings of the community.
