Dernbach, Neuwied
Dernbach is a municipality in the district of Neuwied in the north of Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality powder stream. Dernbach is a nationally recognized resort.

Geography
The village lies in the valley sloping to the east of the springing here Dernbachs with a series of inflows. In the south and west of the Märker forest borders. The city Dierdorf is four kilometers away to the east. Geographically, the municipality is part of the Sayn- Wied Plateau in the Westerwald. Two kilometers to the west is the Dernbacher head ( 427 m above sea level. NN ) is the highest elevation in the lower Westerwald. Coat of arms
The coat of arms description reads: " In red three silver, placed vertically Forestry hook (Wolf Fishing ), over the middle a silver rose with golden slugs ".
Three Wolf Fishing and a rose shows the emblem seal from 1411 and 1429 of the knight Hermann von Dernbach from the local nobility based here, called 1300 bis 1472. The coat of arms is quite valid since 6 June 1973.
