Northern Mindanao

Northern Mindanao ( Tagalog: Hilagang Mindanao ) or X region is a region of the Philippines.

It includes five provinces:

The administrative center is Cagayan de Oro.

The Lanao del Norte province was formerly part of Region XII ( SOCCSKSARGEN ), was assigned by the Executive Order No. 36, but Northern Mindanao.

Geography

Northern Mindanao is bounded on the east by the province of Surigao del Sur, Lanao del Sur to the west by and in the south of Davao del Norte. In the north, the coastline of the region is located along the Mindanaosee.

Economy
