O Pino

O Pino is a municipality, a Parroquia and a place in the province of A Coruña the Autonomous Community of Galicia in northern Spain. The 4708 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013) living on an area of ​​131.90 km2, the place is located 76.70 km from the government capital A Coruña.

History

Most likely people who lived here as early as the Bronze Age. Excavations are to prove this to be carried out near the village of San Lourenzo de pastor to date ( 2012). The population of the region has been shown up to the time of the Romans. The Roman bridge at A Ponte Puñide is still preserved almost in its original state and was an important point on the Roman military road from Braga to Astorga. Near the bridge, said to have been a Roman settlement, according to which, however, is still being sought.
