The Santiago de Compostela Airport ( IATA code SCQ, ICAO code LEST, Spanish Aeropuerto de Santiago de Compostela, formerly Aeropuerto de Lavacolla ) is an international airport in Galicia (Spain ) in the northwest of the Iberian Peninsula, 15 km northeast of the city of Santiago de Compostela. The airport also serves as a military airfield by the Spanish Air Force, which designates the facility as Aeródromo Militar de Santiago.

Airlines and destinations

The airport is served by the following places in 2012 in German speaking countries: Ryanair flies from Frankfurt- Hahn, Vueling from Zurich. Air Berlin flies from Germany to Palma de Mallorca ( Spain hub ) one to two times daily.

Approach

  • By car: From Santiago 13 km on the Autovia A-54 (N -634 ) or of Lugo in the east on the national road N -547
  • Bus: The Company Freire leaves usually every 30 minutes to stations doutor Teixeiro south of the cathedral and the train station of RENFE railway on the edge of downtown on Avenida de Lugo ( N-550/SC-20 ).
