One by One (Foo Fighters album)

One by One is the fourth studio album by the Foo Fighters. It was released on 22 October 2002 and received in the same year won a Grammy Award for Best Hard Rock Performance ( for " All My Life "). In 2003, the band another Grammy Award for Best Rock Album.

Importance

Although the album brought the first number one in the UK for the Foo Fighters, it's according to Dave Grohl his worst album, " Four of the songs were good, and the other seven I never played again in my life. We rushed into it, and we rushed out of it. "He probably refers to the first four songs on the album, which represent all the single releases of the album.

One by One is the first studio album by the Foo Fighters Chris Shiflett as the official lead guitarist.

Times Like These is part of the soundtrack of the film American Pie - The Wedding.

In Europe, was released in August 2003, after the first version ( with copy protection ) nor a copy-protection- free " Special Fan Package " version with 6 additional tracks ( including three cover songs and two live recordings).

  • To compensate for the carbon dioxide emissions that caused the production of the album, let the band on the Future Forests project a corresponding number of plants to trees.
  • Brian May of Queen played as a guest musician guitar in "Tired of You ".
  • Once at an election rally of George W. Bush unauthorized " Times Like These " was played, the band has officially the rival Democratic candidate, John Kerry supports, which, however, lost the election.
