Ott Lepland

Ott Lepland ( born May 17, 1987 in Tallinn) is an Estonian singer. He represented Estonia in the Euro Vision Song Contest 2012 in Baku ( Azerbaijan).

Life and Music

Ott Lepland stands as singer in the spotlight since 1995. 1995/1996 published four cassettes with (children's) songs that had received the Young Artist. Later, Ott Lepland launched a professional jazz and pop career.

In autumn 2009 Lepland won the third season of Eesti otsib superstaari, the Estonian edition of " Germany seeks the superstar ". He won 100,000 kroons and a recording contract with the prestigious label Crunch Industry. 2010 his first professional album was released under the name Ott Lepland. A year later the album was followed by ma Laulan are (such as " I sing for you" ).

2010 was Ott Lepland in children 's and youth theater in Tallinn Musical Keskkoolimuusikal on stage, based on the American High School Musical. Lepland played the role of Troy Bolton.

In 2011, Ott on the TV show Laulupealinn (about: Capital of the song ) in part, in the Estonian Ott Kärdla represented. He came every week with other partners from Kärdla or the district on Hiiumaa, including his grandmother, his nephew and the local choir. Lepland won the show and Kärdla now bears the title of Estonia's Singing capital.

On March 3, 2012 Lepland won the Estonian finals for the Euro Vision Song Contest 2012 in Baku. He represented Estonia there with the Estonian song Kuula ( " Listen " ). The music is by Ott Lepland, the text of Aapo Ilves. May 24, 2012 Lepland qualified for the finals of the Eurovision Song Contest, where he finished sixth with 120 points.

As of February 2012 Ott Lepland was seen in Estonia as an actor in the movies. He plays one of the lead roles in the Estonian Kriminalkomödie Vasaku jala reede ( Director: Andres Kopper and Arun Tamm ).

In December 2012, his third studio album Öö mu kannul käib appeared ( as "The Night follow me ") and a live DVD, " Ott Lepland - ETV Live" with a concert at the Russian Cultural Centre in Tallinn on 14 November 2012.

Since 2013 Lepland also occurs as part of the group Vallatud Vestid. The band, whose musical style is a mix of pop, rock and folk music, published in February 2013, the first joint album Lugusid meestest yes naistest ( stories of women and men ), from which the single Jõesäng ( river bed) has been released. The second album together Kelmid yes pühakud ( crooks and saints) was published in December 2013, and contains the single Lumisel teel ( Snowy road ).
