Location

Otten Bach is on the edge of the Swabian Alb at the foot of Hohenstaufen, about ten kilometers from the district town of Göppingen.

History

Otten Bach was first mentioned in 1275 in the control register liber decimationis of the diocese of Constance documented. It is believed that the place was at first one of the family estates of the Hohenstaufen.

In the following centuries Ottenbach was (mainly individual farms ) of different secular and ecclesiastical lordships ruled until 1806 it came to the house Wuerttemberg.
