Overprotected

Overprotected (English for " Overly protected ") is a dance-pop song by American pop singer Britney Spears from her third studio album Britney. In the UK the song was released by Jive Records as the second, in the United States as the third single from the album. In German-speaking Overprotected appeared not as an official single.
Production
Overprotected was written by Max Martin and Rami Yacoup and produced. The Darkchild Remix of the song, however, was produced by Rodney Jerkins. In Europe, the original version was released in North America, the Darkchild remix. Two different music videos were produced. Spears said about the song:
"This is a song I can relate to myself. Also with me, there are moments when I feel overprotected. If I want to go out, everything must be organized in advance. I think that other young people can relate to some degree on the content of the song at my age. "
In 2003, Overprotected was " Best Female Pop Vocal Performance " nomination at the Grammy Awards in the category.
Chart positions
The Darkchild Remix reached the Billboard Hot 100 its peak position at number 86, the single was a success in Chile, Argentina and Mexico. The original version of the song placed in several European countries in the top 10, including Belgium, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Ireland and Great Britain.
