Pärnu County

The Pärnu County (Estonian Pärnu Pärnu maakond or ) is a county ( maakond ) in Estonia. Capital is Pärnu ( German Pärnu ).

Geography

Pärnu County is located in the southwest of the country on the Gulf of Riga.

Policy

The county government ( maakonnavalitsus ) is headed by a District Administrator ( maavanem ), who is appointed by the Government of Estonia for five years.
