Patrick Dwyer (ice hockey)

Patrick Dwyer ( born June 22, 1983 in Great Falls, Montana ) is an American professional ice hockey player standing since 2008 with the Carolina Hurricanes in the National Hockey League contract.

Career

Pat Dwyer was selected in the fourth round during the NHL Entry Draft in 2002 when a total of 116 players from the Atlanta Thrashers. From 2001 to 2005, the Americans played for the ice hockey team of the Western Michigan University in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association.

Towards the end of his last season at Western Michigan, he also played 14 times in the ECHL Gwinnett Gladiators for, the farm team of the Atlanta Thrashers and the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League. This he left after only a year, and in 2006 signed a contract with the AHL farm team of the Carolina Hurricanes, the Albany River Rats, for whom he played until 2009.
