Petri Kokko (figure skater)

Petri Mikael Kokko ( born February 21, 1966 in Helsinki ) is a former Finnish figure skater, who started ice dancing.

Biography

Together with his partner Susanna Rahkamo took Kokko from 1986 in international competitions. The first medal they won at the European Championships in 1993; they finished third. Their first World Cup medal she won as third in the World Cup 1994. Were the first medals for Finland in ice dancing.

1995 won Kokko and Rahkamo in Dortmund as the first Finns ever the European Championship. At the World Championships she finished second. Your freestyle music was a medley from the Beatles ( Yesterday, A hard day 's night ). Kokko and Rahkamo participated in two Olympic Games. In Albertville in 1992 they finished sixth and 1994 in Lillehammer fourth place.

They trained in Oberstdorf at Martin Skotnicky and choreographer Werner Lipowski. In 1996 she was seen in the video clip of Beyond the invisible of musical project Enigma.

1995 Kokko finished his amateur career and became a professional. The ice dance married and has two children.

Today ( as of 2012) Kokko works as a manager at Google in Germany, having worked for Nike Finland in marketing before.
