Předenice

Předenice ( German Pschedenitz ) is a municipality with 168 inhabitants in the Czech Republic. It is located eight kilometers northeast of the city Prestice at the Úhlava and belongs to the Okres Plzeň -jih to. The land area is 432 ha

Geography

Předenice is located 340 m above sea level. M. on the right bank of the creek Úhlava and is crossed by the Předenický. To the northwest, the Tlustá hora rises (476 m).

Neighboring towns are Čižice in the north, Štěnovický Borek in the northeast, Prusíny, Nebílovy and Netunice in the east, Haje in the south, Snopousovy in the southwest, and Lišice and Hradcany in the West.

History

Předenice was first mentioned in 1239 in a list of the monastery Kladruby as part of the monastic estates Pschestitzer documented. To 1379 the village came into the possession of z Předenic family. At the beginning of the 16th century there was a division of inheritance and Trystan z Předenic 1540 sold his share of the reign Nebílovy. The other part, which included the celebrations was reached in 1525 to Jan Snopovský Borek, who united him in 1539 with his lordship Snopousovy. 1603 came to this part of the rule Řenče that was slammed in Dolni Lukavice later. The fortress was no longer used as needle seat and fell desolate.

After the replacement of patrimonial 1850 both parts of Předenice were combined to provide a community in which 263 people lived. The vicarage was Prusing. In 1910, the town with 303 inhabitants its highest number of residents who declined slightly then until 1930 (298 inhabitants).

Since 2006, the municipality performs a coat of arms.
