Quesnoy-sur-Deûle

Quesnoy -sur- Deûle is a commune with 7048 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Nord, in the Nord -Pas -de -Calais. It is situated about twelve kilometers north-west of Lille and approximately six kilometers south of the border with Belgium. The municipality is part of the municipality of composite Lille Métropole.

First mention of Quesnoy is found in the 12th century, but the origins are likely to be in ancient times, since there was already a through traffic on the Deûle.
