Reiner Haseloff
Reiner Haseloff ( born February 19, 1954 in Bülzig, district Wittenberg, Halle district ) is a German politician ( CDU) and since April 19, 2011 Minister President of Saxony -Anhalt. Previously, he was from 2006 until his election as Prime Minister Minister of Economy and Labour of Saxony -Anhalt.
Life and career
After graduation in 1972 at the advanced high school " Philipp Melanchthon " in Wittenberg he made from 1972 to 1973 in Halle ( early release ) and from 1979 to 1980 Prora his military service with the NVA from. From 1973 to 1978 he completed a degree in physics at the Technical University of Dresden and the Humboldt University of Berlin, which he finished as a physicist. Subsequently, he was from 1978 to 1990 worked as researcher at the Institute for Environmental Protection in Wittenberg. In 1991 his doctorate. nat. at the Humboldt University of Berlin with a thesis development of measuring instruments on the basis of the linear laser absorption spectrometry for sensitive molecular gas concentration measurement in terms of the use of environmental control. Reiner Haseloff, is married and has two children. He has two siblings ( brother and sister). He is Roman Catholic and the first Catholic prime minister of Saxony-Anhalt, who is a native of Saxony -hitching.
Party
Reiner Haseloff joined the CDU in 1976 in the GDR. He is since 1990 the CDU Land Executive Committee of Saxony- Anhalt and was from 2004 to 2012 deputy chairman of the CDU. Since December 2008 he is also a member of the CDU Federal Board.
From 1990 to 1992 Haseloff was Deputy District Administrator of Wittenberg.
Member of the State Government
On 23 May 2002 Haseloff was appointed State Secretary in the Ministry of Economics and Labour of Saxony -Anhalt and, after the state election in 2006 on 24 April 2006 as Minister of Economics and Labour in the run by Wolfgang Böhmer state government of Saxony -Anhalt (Cabinet Bohemian II ) was appointed.
Haseloff under stood as Minister of Economics and the State Agency for Geology and Mining ( LAGB ), which is the focus of waste affair since 2008.
From 2006 to 2011 was Haseloff President of the Network of European Chemical Regions ( ECRN ).
Minister President of Saxony -Anhalt
Before the state election in 2011 Minister President Wolfgang Böhmer for age reasons decided not to stand for the CDU top candidate. 3 April 2010 Reiner Haseloff has been on a state convention in Peißen unanimously for top candidates for the election on 20 March 2011 and thus named a possible successor Böhmer, Office of the Prime Minister.
On election night, the losses for the CDU fell despite a negative Federal Trendes of a surprisingly moderate. The party was at 32.5 percent by far the strongest political force and since then has 41 of the 105 MPs now in Parliament of Saxony- Anhalt. Haseloff even reached in his constituency Dessau -Wittenberg 39.9 percent of the primary vote and moved for the first time as an elected deputy in the regional parliament in. On 23 March 2011 Haseloff first took over the presidency of the new CDU parliamentary faction, on 19 April 2011, he was elected the new prime minister of Saxony- Anhalt. 67 deputies of the CDU / SPD coalition, however, only 57 voted for Haseloff.
