Richard Egington

Phillip Richard " Ric " Egington (born 26 February 1979 in Warrington ) is a British rower. He won by 2011 two world titles and an Olympic silver medal.

Career

Egington 2003 won silver in the non-Olympic boat class four with coxswain at the World Championships. From 2005 he was part of the British Eighth, in 2007, he won his second World Championship bronze medal. 2008, the eight reached the World Cup, each with a first, second and third place three times the podium; at the Olympic Games in Beijing, the British Eighth won the silver medal behind the Canadian Boat ..

2009 saw Egington in the coxless four, who won two World Cup races and the finals at the World Championships with three rowers from the 2008 eighth.
