Roger Turner

Roger Felix Turner ( March 3, 1901 in Milton, Massachusetts, † 29 October 1993 in Walpole, Massachusetts) was an American figure skater.

Turner started for the Boston Skating Club and was from 1928 to 1934 seven consecutive times U.S. champion and thus holds with Richard button the record for most victories at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships. His biggest international success was the vice-champion title in 1930 and 1931 behind Karl Schäfer. Through them he won the first medals for the U.S. in the men's singles at the World Championships. Turner participated in two Olympic Games. In 1928 he was tenth and sixth in 1932.

After his athletic career, he worked as a lawyer and also appeared as a judge in appearance.
