Rollag

Rollag is a commune in the province (county ) Buskerud Norway.

One attraction is the stave church from the period between 1150-1200. It has 160 seats. 1652 was the stained glass windows, a pulpit in 1666, 1697/1698 a transept, 1702 a gallery and in 1739 a sacristy. From the original church only the four cornerstones are obtained. In the church a Baroque altarpiece is from the time around in 1670. The wall paintings are held primarily in blue and wearing several portraits of pastors from the 17th to 19th centuries.

From Rollag comes the Norwegian ski jumper Sigurd Pettersen, a Norwegian has with him in the 2003/2004 season for the first time since 1994 won the Four Hills Tournament. He is the son of the mayor of Rollag Steinar Berthelsen.
