Flesberg

Flesberg is a town and commune in the province ( county) Buskerud in Norway. Flesberg has 2671 inhabitants ( as of March 31, 2013) and covers an area of 560 km ². Administrative center is the village of lamp country. At Flesberg municipalities Kongsberg, Øvre Eiker, Rollag and Sigdal in Fylke Buskerud and Notodden and Tinn limits in the fylke Telemark.

Coat of arms

The coat of arms shows back to back two silver clips on a green background. They symbolize forestry and rafting.

Geography

Most inhabitants live in the villages lamp country vein, Flesberg and Lyngdal. Agriculture and forestry dominate the economy; but also the high-technology industries in the neighboring town of Kongsberg exert a great influence. In the western part of Flesberg the terrain rises steeply to the mountain Blefjell. There lies the highest point of the municipality, Flesebekknatten, moh 1270.
