Hemsedal is the valley of the river Hemsil and commune in the province ( county) Buskerud in Norway. In Hemsedal 2228 inhabitants ( as of March 31, 2013) on an area of 752 km ². Administrative center is the village Trøim. Hemsedal is bordered to the north and east by the municipalities Vang, Vestre Slidre and North Aurdal in Fylke Oppland, to the south and Ål Gol, and to the west by Laerdal in Sogn og Fjordane Fylke. Hemsedal is the second largest ski resort in Norway.

Topography
