Roman Catholic Diocese of Chillán

The Diocese of Chillán (Latin: Dioecesis Chillanensis, Spanish: diócesis de Chillán ) is a diocese located in Chile of the Roman Catholic church located in Chillán.

History

The Diocese of Chillán in 1916 by Pope Benedict XV. out of territory of the Diocese of Concepción as a mission sui juris Chillán built. On October 18, 1925, the mission was sui juris Chillán by Pope Pius XI. charged with the Apostolic Constitution Apostolici Muneris ratio to the diocese. The Diocese of Chillán is the Archdiocese of Concepción is a suffragan.
