Roy Hibbert

Roy Denzil Hibbert ( born December 11, 1986 in New York City, New York) is a Jamaican professional basketball player. He plays the position of center. He was nominated for the 2012 and 2014 NBA All- Star Game.

High School

Roy Hibbert attended Georgetown Preparatory School. There he was Hoya Dwayne Bryant, who later introduced him at Georgetown University, trained. He and his team reached the Interstate Athletic Conference final, where they lost, however. He also played in the Jordan Capital Classic with his later teammate Jeff Green.

College

Freshman 2004-2005

In his freshman season, he reached with his teammates Jeff Green, Brandon Bowman and Jonathan Wallace, a record of 17 wins and 12 defeats. Thus, they were eighth in the Big East Conference, reaching the National Invitation Tournament, where they in the quarterfinals to eventual champion, the South Carolina Gamecocks were eliminated.

Sophomore 2005-2006
