Rwanda nziza

Rwanda nziza (Our Rwanda) since 1 January 2002, the national anthem of Rwanda. So you replaced the existing old hymn Rwanda since 1962 rwacu. This was done in an act of renewal, in which the national symbols were exchanged for taking the bloody history of Rwanda. It is written in Kinyarwanda and consciously follows a more traditional African style.

The text was written by Faustin Murigo, the music was written by Jean- Bosco Hashakaimana, head of the Rwandan military band.
