Sahlene

Sahlene ( born May 11, 1976 in Södertälje / Sweden), Anna Cecilia Sahlin bourgeois, is a Swedish pop singer.

Early years

Sahlene debuted as a 11 -year-old in the children's film The Children of Noisy Village (directed by Lasse Hallström, based on a book by Astrid Lindgren ). At eighteen, she began her career as a singer in the Stockholm band Rhythm Avenue. In 1998 she left the band and worked as a background singer for Swedish stars like Eric Gadd, Carola Häggkvist, Robyn and Charlotte Perrelli. With the latter she won the 1999 Euro Vision Song Contest in Jerusalem.

Solo singer

Appeared in 2000 Sahlenes first single, The Little Voice. The eponymous album was never released due to bankruptcy of the record company. Sahlene won the 2002 Estonian preselection for the Euro Vision Song Contest with the song Runaway (Text: Jana Hallas; Melody: Pearu Paulus, Ilmar Laisaar and Alar Kotkas ). With 111 points, she reached the third place in the Euro Vision Song Contest 2002 in Tallinn.

In April 2003 Sahlene issued their first album, It's Been a While. 2005, her album was released Photographer. It occurs today under the name of Anna Sahlene.

In June 2006, Anna Sahlin had a daughter.
