Sankhaburi District

Amphoe Sankhaburi ( Thai: อำเภอ สรรคบุรี ) is a district ( Amphoe ) in the southern part of the province ( Changwat ) Chainat. The Chainat Province is located in the northern part of the central region of Thailand.

Geography

Neighboring districts (from west clockwise): Amphoe the Hankha, Mueang Chainat Chainat province and Sapphaya, Amphoe In Buri and the Bang Rachan Province Sing Buri and Amphoe Bang Nang Buat Doem the province of Suphanburi.

Management

Amphoe Sankhaburi is ( tambon) divided into eight municipalities, which in turn in 92 village communities ( Muban ) are divided.

There are five small towns ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

  • Phraek Si Racha ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล แพรก ศรีราชา ) consists of parts of the tambon Phraek Si Racha,
  • Sankhaburi ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล สรรคบุรี ) also consists of parts of the tambon Phraek Si Racha,
  • Dong Khon ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ดง คอน ) consists of the whole Tambon Dong Khon,
  • Huai Krot ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ห้วย กรด ) consists of the whole Tambon Huai Krot,
  • Bang Khut ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล บาง ขุด ) consists of the whole tambon Bang Khut.

There are also four administrative organizations ( " Tambon Administrative Organizations" - TAO, Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ).
