Sarata Raion
Rajon Sarata (Ukrainian Саратський район / rayon Saratskyj; Russian Саратский район / Saratski raion, Romanian Raionul Sărata ) is a raion ( administrative district) in the Odessa, in southern Ukraine. The center of the Rajons is the urban-type settlement Sarata.
The Rajon was created in 1965 as part of the Odessa Oblast in the Soviet Union, he is since 1991 part of today's Ukraine.
It is bordered to the north on a short piece of Moldavia, to the east by Rajon Bilhorod - Dnistrovskyi, to the south by Rajon Tatarbunary, in the southwest on the Rajon Arzys and to the northwest by the Rajon Tarutyne.
On April 1, 1995, the place Kolisne / Колісне was changed back in Kulewtscha.
