Saskatoon Quakers

History

The team was founded for the season 1951/52, as a franchise of the Pacific Coast Hockey League, the league title they won straight away. The team was based on numerous well known teams from the city the name Saskatoon Quakers. After the PCHL was replaced for season 1952/53, by the Western Hockey League, the Quakers this joined and spent another five seasons in the WHL before the franchise was dissolved.

In the season 1958/59 the Brandon Regals were relocated to Saskatoon, and also played as Saskatoon Quakers, before even this franchise ceased the operation of gambling. Later used by various amateur teams also named Saskatoon Quakers.
