Solana is a census -designated place (CDP ) in Charlotte County in the U.S. state of Florida with 742 inhabitants (as of 2010).

Geography

Solana is bordered to the west directly to the city of Punta Gorda. By Solana Interstate 75, U.S. Highway 17 and Florida State Road 35 lead The place is located about 150 km south of Tampa.

Demographics

According to the 2010 census, the then 742 inhabitants distributed in 442 households. The population density was 168.6 inh. / Km ². 88.1 % of the population were white, 7.3% African American, 0.3% Native American and 0.8 % Asian Americans. 0.6 % were members of other ethnic groups and 2.3% in different ethnic groups. 3.4% of the population were Hispanic or Latino.
