South Tyrolean Freedom

The South Tyrolean Freedom - Free Alliance for Tyrol is a political party, by his own understanding of a "movement " in South Tyrol. It strives for independence of South Tyrol from Italy by plebiscite.

Party program

History

The South Tyrolean Freedom was created in May 2007 as a secession from the Union for South Tyrol ( UfS ). It was founded on 8 June 2007 notarized in Bressanone. The founding members were Herbert Campidell, Eva Klotz, Sven Knoll, Reinhold Ladurner, Roland Lang, Sepp Mitterhofer, Werner Thaler and Dietmar Zwerger.

Organization

According to the self-understanding as a movement, the South Tyrolean freedom no party leader or no party chairwoman. The governing body is called land line.

The youth organization of the movement is called Young South Tyrolean Freedom, the country's youth speakers are currently Benjamin Pixner and Hannes Innerhofer in the form of a so-called " dual leadership " after the youth organization was reformed in August 2011. Currently, 40 percent of members under 30 years old, which is why the South Tyrolean freedom of the expansion of the youth movement particularly takes. State election 2008

In the state election on 26 October 2008, the South Tyrolean Freedom first appeared independently with 30 candidates under the slogan "For a South Tyrol Italy without " and received surprising 4.9 % of the vote or two instead of a seat in parliament. Top candidates were Eva Klotz and Sven Knoll.

Municipality Election 2010

The South Tyrolean freedom was at the municipal election 16 May 2010 to increase the number of elected councilors and won in 24 municipalities in total 34 municipal mandates. The best result was achieved with six seats in the municipality Ahrntal.

State election 2013

In the state election on 27 October 2013, the South Tyrolean freedom came with 35 candidates under the slogan " South Tyrol in danger - we choose freedom " and received 7.2% of the vote and one seat more than they were five years. More than 20,000 people gave the movement the voice. Top candidate was Sven Knoll.
