Steffen Tölzer

Steffen Tolz ( born June 12, 1985 in Zittau, GDR ) is a German professional ice hockey player who played in the 2008 /09 season in the German Ice Hockey League for the Augsburger Panther.

Career

The 1.85 m tall defender started his career in the youth teams of the ESV king penguins Brunn, before he joined the youth team of the neighboring Augsburger EV 1999. After playing Augsburger Panther Jung for the boys team, the Left shooter ran in the 2003/04 season for the first time on for the pros, the Augsburger Panther in the DEL. In the following years Tolz shuttled between the Panthers and the cooperation partners EC Peiting from the league and EV Landsberg, with which he became in 2006 from the league in the 2nd Bundesliga.

Since the season 2006/ 07 the defender is regular for the Augsburger Panther in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga on the ice. In January 2013, he completed his 400th DEL game for the Augsburger Panther.

Internationally

For the German national Steffen Tolz has played four games, and he also participated with the U20 national team at the World Youth Championship in 2005.
