Stettfeld is located in the Main- Rhön.

There is only the district Stettfeld.

Neighboring municipalities are (from north clockwise beginning ): Ebelsbach, Lauter, and Oberhaid Eltmann.

History

As part of the Prince-Bishopric of Würzburg Stettfeld was secularized in 1803 in Bavaria's favor, then left in 1805 Archduke Ferdinand of Tuscany to form the Grand Duchy of Würzburg in the Peace of Pressburg, with which it finally fell to Bavaria in 1814.

Mayor

Mayor Alfons Hartlieb jun. (CSU ). He was elected to succeed Winfried Schlee 2005, of a fatal accident in the Dolomites. In 2008 he sat as 2005 against challenger Gerald Simon ( Stettfelder village community ). In 2005 he won with two -vote lead, in 2008 it reached 64.45 % of the vote.

Economy, agriculture and forestry

It was in 1998 according to official statistics in manufacturing and 109 in trade and transport, no social insurance contributions at the workplace. Social insurance contributions at residence, there were a total of 446 in the manufacturing sector, there was an operation in the construction of two plants. In addition, in 1999, there were 20 farms with an agricultural area of 577 hectares ( ha), of which 469 ha of arable land and 107 ha of permanent grassland.

The theater group Stettfelder outdoor stage performs every summer an outdoor piece in the courtyard of the old mill. The historian working group Stettfeld operates since 2007 a ​​museum of local history, the granting of which changes annually to the Stettfelder Bears days.
