Taddy Aycock

Clarence C. " Taddy " Aycock ( born January 13, 1915 in Franklin, St. Mary Parish, Louisiana, † January 6, 1987 ) was an American politician. Between 1960 and 1972 he was Deputy Governor of the State of Louisiana.

Career

After studying law at Loyola University in New Orleans and his 1937 was admitted as a lawyer Taddy Aycock began in Franklin to work in this profession. During the Second World War he served in the U.S. Armed Forces in the European theater of war. For his military services he was awarded the Bronze Star. Politically, he joined the Democratic Party. Between 1952 and 1960 he sat as an MP in the House of Representatives from Louisiana, which he was president from 1952 to 1956. Within his party he belonged to the wing against the long fraction.
